The magic is in the moon…
The Moon’s Magic was born from my own journey as a Black queer person with deeply sensitive skin, constantly navigating a world of over-processed, overly-perfumed products that didn’t honor my body or my truth. I created this shop to strip skincare down to its sacred essence, pure, powerful, plant-based ingredients rooted in ancestral wisdom and radical self-care. Every product is a ritual in itself: a moment to nourish, to reclaim, and to glow from the inside out. The Moon’s Magic isn’t just about skin care, it’s about returning to yourself, honoring your softness, and embracing holistic care as a revolutionary act.
A wellness-focused personal care business specializing in the development and sale of high-quality body, bath, and hair care products. My offerings are carefully crafted in small batches using natural, organic, and sustainably sourced ingredients. Each product features one-of-a-kind formulas and original scents designed to nourish the skin and hair while promoting long-lasting results.
With a commitment to clean beauty and transparency, The Moon’s Magic ensures that all items are handmade without the use of synthetic additives, focusing instead on nutrient-rich ingredients that support holistic care. This business will always maintain a focus on responsible sourcing, environmentally conscious packaging, and product consistency.
Summer Moon
I am a Black, queer, non-binary, neurodivergent multidisciplinary artist and creative director. Rooted in the small city of Plainfield, NJ, my creative soul truly blossomed in the pulsing streets of New York City and through the enduring influence of my late grandmother.
Photography was my first language, the medium through which I began to translate my visions into reality. My photographic and design work breathed life into creative concepts and photojournalistic storytelling, always through a lens that celebrates the richness of Black life. I have long been enamored with the beauty of Blackness, our hair, our skin, our art, our food, our music, our very existence. I was raised to recognize and honor the deep brilliance embedded in our culture and traditions, and that reverence saturates everything I create.
Yet, over time, I realized I had confined myself within the familiar frame of photography & digital art, quietly setting aside other crafts that have long called to me. In this new chapter, I am returning to the work of my hands, an expansion that breathes new life into my artistic practice.
Through my bath, body & home shop, I am introducing not only new scents but new creations: perfumes, whipped shea butters, vases, planters, and more. Each piece is crafted with intention, a tactile extension of the worlds I envision.
This evolution has been years in the making, and I am beyond excited to finally share it with you. Alongside this creative journey, I plan to launch a community aid initiative dedicated to supporting Black queer and trans folks in need, because our liberation is collective, and our care must be too.
Stay tuned for upcoming community events.
This is just the beginning.
